Sorry for the long delay for an update.Where to begin?First we would like to wish everyone a Happy belated new years.Daisy came home on 12-30-09 since then she has been running a slight temp and is generaly not her self.On 01-10-10 after several days of runnung a temp of 101.5 Daisy was admitted to CHOP. On monday they cultured her wounds for infections and her temp went down to 100.5 so they decided rather than start her on anit biotics they would just monitor her condition to see if she got worse. Today she was released from the hospital still running a temp of 100.5 to 101 because they felt we can monitor just as well at home but if her temp hit 102 we where to call in and bring her back. Well wouldn't you know by the time we got home her temp shot up to 102.2. We then called the hospital and received no call backs except from the general pediatric doctor on 5 south who told us to call the doctor on duty for dermitoligy. We tried calling them twice with no call back from them for over an hour so at that point we called her dermitoligist at home. After telling Dr. Shah everything that has been going on with daisy and the hospital she had us start Daisy on oral zyvox. We where told to give this 24 hours to start working but to monitor Daisy closely and call her in the morning if Daisy is still running a temp and we will figure out a new game plan at that time.Thank you for your continued prayers and support for daisy and our family.
