Sorry for the delay on the update.Daisy is still at CHOP she has been moved from ICU to a regular room. Wednsday night she had a couple of episodes where her heart rate went over 180,she also has been running a steady fever since thursday and really hasn't been herself. They did a couple of scans on thursday to see where the infection was hideing the scans turn up the fact that it is in the soft tissue of her left hand. They plan on keeping her on oral anti biotics for a couple of more days to see if she has a response to them if not we will discuss further options with the infectius disease doctors. We wold like to thank Rick and Tammy Girard, and also Gearge and Denise Johnson for thier fund raisung eforts for Daisy, again thank you so much, also to Lisa who has done so much work in putting together tomorrows ride and cruise a huge thank you. And a special thank you to everyone for all of the prayers for Daisy and our family!

Daisy in the hospital 10-06-08
Good evening everyone! Jess here. Just waned to give you all a quick update. Last night Daisy had to go back into the hospital. They've got her in the Pediatric ICU at CHOP. Daisy has been having episodes where she spikes a temp, stops breathing to the point of turning blue and going limp, then comes to and the fever is gone. Not sure what's going on with the fever, but the doctors seem to think that the breathing problem is caused by her larynx being agitated, causing it o spasm and block her airway. She's also been having an issue with her left hand. It keeps swelling up and we have no idea why. They took x-rays today and didn't see anything. Infectious Disease came in, but they can't tell us anything until her cultures come back. ENT is talking about maybe doing a scope to check out her larynx, but haven't heard much on that. So for right now, they're just keeping an eye on her to make sure she comes around after the episodes. Not exactly my idea of a good plan of action, but I guess that's the best they can do right now. So, just keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you all for all the support you've given Daisy and my family. I'll try to keep you all updated. Have a good night! Just a reminder, the 2nd annual ride and cruise is this Saturday!

We are home! We got home last night and Daisy had to stay up to play with her toys that she missed so much. We are on oral antibotics for two more weeks. Then we go to Cincinnati for about a week. It was very nice to sleep in my own bed last night. I pray we don't have any more bad infections for awhile it is hard on the whole family. Thank you to the few people that brought food to the boys and to Pat and I at the hospital it was very thoughtful and really helped us...... Thank you to Texas Roadhouse for the fundraiser on Saturday and to the people that came..... Please pray for a cure! Thank you for your prayers and support.
